Facial injectable fillers such as JUVEDERM® and VOLUMA® are injectable gels that have become very popular worldwide. They are used for contouring and restoring volume to skin depressions and wrinkles as well as adding volume to the lips. They are both composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural component of your connective tissue.
Commonly treated areas with JUVEDERM ® and VOLUMA® include:
- Thin upper and lower lips
- Nasolabial folds
- Marionette lines
- Forehead wrinkles
- Sunken cheeks and cheek bones
- Nasal furrows
JUVEDERM ® may last up to 12 months in the area where it was injected. This does not necessarily mean that the results last an entire year. It means that there is still product in that area at one year after injection but the volume of that material is not the same as when it was injected. You will typically need a touch up treatment with JUVEDERM ® after 6-9 months of initial injection. VOLUMA® may last up to 2 years.
